The Minto Group named Green Builder of the Year (Low-Rise) by the BILD Association of the Greater Toronto Area at their 33rd annual awards. Each year, BILD presents the local home building industry's most prestigious awards to those organizations who demonstrate home building excellence.
The Parade of Homes – presented by The Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando – awarded Minto Communities USA's Brenner Courtyard model home in Lake Nona First Place in the Multi-Family, Under $300,000 category. Starting in the low $200s, the spacious design features 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 car garage and an extensive list of premium features.
The Minto Group's Minto Suite Hotel receives the highest 5 Key Eco-Rating from the Hotel Association’s Green Key Eco-Rating program. To earn its 5 Key rating, Minto Suite Hotel increased staff training in environmental awareness and behaviour and participated in government energy reduction programs, such as Save-on-Energy.
The Minto Group’s 180 Kent Street office tower became the first and only building in Ottawa to receive the Building Owners and Managers Association of Canada (BOMA) Building Environmental Standards Level 4 certification – BOMA’s highest level of recognition for excellence in environmental best practices within the commercial building industry.
Minto Communities Canada awarded the 2012 Avid Gold Award Best Customer Experience in Ontario. Minto’s Toronto division topped all Ontario builders with an Avid Index Score of 267 points (out of a total 300) as rated by their customers. Over 93% of their home buyers said they would recommend Minto Communities Canada to family and friends.

Minto Communities Canada named 2012 Ontario Home Builder of the Year at the OHBA Annual Awards of Distinction dinner. Minto was also awarded Most Outstanding High or Mid Rise Condo Suite (up to 800 square feet) for 88 Sheppard’s “Bamboo Suite.” The award is decided on by a panel of industry professionals.
